Jennifer is a Licensed Practicing Counselor in the state of Michigan. She earned her Master of
Science in Counseling at Indiana University, where she previously completed her undergraduate degree
from in Human Development and Family Studies, with an emphasis in Human Sexuality. She has worked
with the Kinsey Institute to educate rural communities on consent, boundaries, and healthy technology
use.
Jennifer has had the opportunity to work with teens and families in a community mental health setting.
She specializes in working with adolescents and adults that have experienced traumas such as sexual
abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, physical abuse, and neglect. She has years of experience
working with trauma survivors. Jennifer has experience in working with a range of psychological issues
including but not limited to; anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, self -harm, difficulty
regulating emotion, and sexual issues. She has significant experience in working with LGBTQIA
populations.
She embraces her sense of humor and emphasizes collaboration in building a safe and trusting
therapeutic connection. She works to empower clients in their healing based on an individualized approach
that suits their goals. Jennifer utilizes an eclectic approach, most frequently incorporating EMDR (Eye
Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and CBT (Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy).
